Chris asked if we could up the kiln opening to 150 degress instead of the voted on 100 degrees....not unload the kiln, just to open it to get temp down faster to a normal temp where you can hold things without gloves.

Decided that 125 degrees would be a great test for opening instead of the 150

Questions and concerns: does it change the temp of the room at DMS? Does it effect the cones or the firing? Does it cause crazing?

Closer to September, we will try a test run. Chris Cooper will be the tester. Notes will be available to place on pieces where you can opt out of the firing. Look for signs to give everyone a heads up on this test.

Sasha asked about the vents over on new ceramics side, basically will we be moving kilns over? City still needs to approve vents in order to move kilns. No kilns or shelves being moved yet. Also suggested signs be put up to show where things are as well as cleaning procedures.
